Cultivate 2019 was a success and we are very pleased with the outcome of this year’s show! One of the biggest highlights for our team with this event is simply spending time with industry partners. You all are a joy to be around and we truly do appreciate you.
As we mention often ISS is customer driven, not sales driven. We value the relationships we have with our customers and partners in this industry, much more than the sales numbers. Cultivate provides the space and opportunity to interact and continue developing relationships with everyone in the horticulture industry, which is why we attend and why we love what we do!
Each year we bring our newest employees to the show. We do this because Cultivate provides great representation of the industry as a whole. It allows staff to make connections between what we do in our office each day, with how that work impacts the operations and lives of our growers. The show also allows our staff to put faces with names, and get to know our customers on a deeper level; seeing the beauty of partnership in real time is priceless. Allowing them the opportunity to learn in such a vast way is also important for the growth they will have at ISS.
The meetings that take place with our partners during the show provide great insight for our Picas team. Sitting down to discuss the ways Picas can better meet the needs of growers who have their hands deep in the soil is invaluable. We collaborate with one another to find new directions and avenues we can take with Picas based on the suggestions and requests we get from those meetings. The launching of new programs, tailored features to meet specific needs, and the diverse product lines we offer for growers of all types would not come to fruition if it weren’t for our partners within this industry.
On the topic of partnership, we noticed the amount of attention given to Supplier Integrations this year. We have spent many hours developing fully automated integrations with a large number of brokers and suppliers in this industry, which are being used by many Picas customers today. The automation these integrations provide greatly increase productivity and efficiency by projecting availability, receiving orders, and acknowledging them all with a hands-off approach. Supplier integrations allow vendors to sell cuttings at a faster rate, in turn allowing both the grower and the supplier more opportunity for growth. And that is the theme, correct?
Growth is the key to success, and it’s what we are focusing on this year: Growing our Picas team, building on our partnerships, developing more functionality and automation for our customers, expanding the integrations we have with various brokers, suppliers, vendors, shipping parties, tag companies, routing tools, and more. Our goal is to help our growers to be more efficient, more successful, and to outgrow their competition.
For our Picas Customers, we truly value your partnership and hope that you are planning to join us in October for our Picas Users’ Conference. This event allows us the best opportunity to gather your input on the direction Picas is headed, share with you the newest features and functionality offered in the system, collaborate and network with other Picas users, and learn how to get the most from your Picas software. Not to mention, we have a really good time!
ISS is on the move, and always looking to make new partnerships and innovative changes to better serve and grow alongside you. Keep on the lookout for our next update in our new series “The Power of the Root.”
