The sunflower is an intentional logo selection for The Picas Group and it dates back to the inception of the company in 1991.
There is a lot to be said about the emblem a company chooses to represent themselves by. It is symbolic of their brand’s identity and how they are recognized by their audience, customers, and industry. In 1991, when our company was founded, the sunflower was intentionally selected as the icon to represent our brand. It was and continues to be the icon representing The Picas Group because of what the flower itself represents. It remains an important compass for our company 31 years later.
The sunflower is one of the most popular and recognizable flowers in the world. With its vibrant yellow and black coloring, they are easily spotted and admired all over the world. It is often referred to as the “happy flower”, and cultivates a bright, cheery, and inviting feeling. Aside from its bright, yellow and circular shape, the sunflower is named after the sun because until they reach maturity, they track or respond to the sun all throughout the day. They rotate the direction they face to ensure they are always drinking up the sunshine. (This process of tracking the sun is called heliotropism). Another reason often cited as to why they were named after the sun is because they are thought to be life-giving, just as the sun is life-giving. The sunflower is also viewed as a symbol of adoration, loyalty, and longevity.
The sunflower is also versatile flower that can show its charm in various ways. They can be enormously tall, (the tallest is 30ft), or they can be short. They come in many colors, and they can be found in a field showcasing their beauty in numbers, or they can be the centerpiece of a bouquet.

We are a customer driven software, and we believe this is one the many attributes about our team and product that sets us apart from our competitors. At The Picas Group we are proud of our versatility.
